What to do today? Yoga

I have a relationship with yoga that has evolved over time.  When I first began taking classes, about 25 years ago, I didn’t stick with it long term because I wanted to sweat when I “worked out” and I struggled to make time for both yoga and running/weightlifting/sweaty cardio.  Over the years I have had blips of attending yoga classes and as I get older I realize how much more I need it (mobility and meditation is just as important as strength).  About a year ago, I dipped my toes back in the water of yoga practice by watching Yoga with Adriene on YouTube.  I was stressed out with my workload at work and, quite frankly, needed someone to remind me to breathe.  Although I do miss the camaraderie of a class setting (it’s not off the table post-pandemic for me to attend in-person classes again), the ease of being able to “on-demand” a yoga class fits with my life much better than a scheduled class.  Right now, it’s also the smartest (only?) way to attend a class and we can definitely all use a reminder to breathe.

A simple yoga mat is all you need.
