In case you are wondering why the blogs posts have been few and far between, I have put Positively Grounded into semi-hibernation while I allow all of my “free” time to be consumed by studying for my architectural licensing exams. Pursuit of my license was not originally part of my career plan when I graduated more years ago than I would like to think about. But, here I am. I listen to study material in the car, flip through flash cards on the train, and read on my tablet for five minutes before exhaustion sets in and I fall asleep at night. Studying feels like it has taken over my life, but (shhhh) I actually somewhat enjoy it, knowing that when I am finished and have that seal in my hand, I will have learned a lot more about architecture during this licensing journey.
I am going to attempt to post some shorter entries on a more frequent basis than once every few months, as has been the case until now. I am attempting to achieve more balance in my life, and Positively Grounded is too important to me to let studying push it to the back burner all of the time. I have to make time for it. After all, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” Dull is not what I am going for in my life. 🙂
